At The Miami Times, we keep our eyes peeled, looking for those who are motivated to be the change they want to see. Annually, we select and highlight outstanding members of our community who task themselves with improving the quality of life for others or correcting a wrong. They emulate the works of the late Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other Black History Makers, and we recognize them by sharing their stories with you.
Our dreamers have found ways to improve their communities, sometimes with little to no help. They are constantly seeking ways to innovate and solve problems and, at the same time, inspire others. Their efforts sometimes fly under the radar of others, which illuminates the selflessness of the tasks they undertake. It is our belief that exemplary examples of Black History Makers live, work and play in our neighborhoods.
The Miami Times proudly and unreservedly shows off This Generation of Dreamers who, like so many before then, use their youthful energy and wisdom to lead and serve.
